Apple will use Samsung made 120Hz AMOLED panels for the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max
May 04, 2021
For quite some time now we have been hearing that iPhones are going to have 120Hz displays. A recent report from Korea basically confirms this news along with some interesting info.
The iPhone 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max will be the only ones which will make use of the new 120Hz LTPO AMOLED panels. These panels will be exclusively manufactured by Samsung. Furthermore, Samsung will also supply the rigid flexible printed circuit boards (RFPCB).
Samsung’s Electro-Mechanics decided to make an exit from the RFPCB market last year, since it hasn’t made any profit in the past few years. The brand last supplied boards was for the Apple iPhone 12. It’s still a possibility that it might make an exit after the iPhone 13 series.
